The wine
From our vines which are planted over 10 hectares of land, we produce Chianti Terre di Nano, Chianti Colli Senesi DOCG, Orcia Rosso DOC and Rosso di Toscana IGT all having a base of Sangiovese grapes. The grapes are handled in our cantina consisting of modern winemaking facilities and an area for refining the wine in oak barrels in the classic manner. Last but no the least we also produce Biancodinano, it is a white wine with a base of Malvasia and Tuscan Trebbiano.

Barlettaia - Chianti Colli Senesi docg |
A very refined wine made from predominantly Sangiovese grapes, though with the addition of some Canaiolo and Colorino, which are all typical grapes of the Val dOrcia. It takes its name from the Via Barlettaia, the ancient road from Monte Amiata to Montepulciano, and which passes by the Borgo di Monticchiello and by Terre di Nano. The name recalls the barletta, a wooden barrel full of water which the travellers and pilgrims of medieval times carried with them.
The Barlettaia is a chianti with a long life, it has a well balanced palate, and is pleasingly soft with hints of wild berries.

Maclura - Rosso di Toscana igt |
To the maclura pomifera, a splendid tree which originates from North America, and which adorns the entrance to Terre di Nano, we have dedicated the name of this red wine. It is made from a blend of Sangiovese and Merlot carefully chosen from the vineyard from which you can admire the medieval town of Monticchiello in the Val d'Orcia.
It is an elegant and refined wine, full bodied and well balanced.
The Maclura is a wine that can be appreciated even more with the passage of time.

Quercialsale - Orcia rosso doc |
The intriguing proximity of an oak and a willow near to Terre di Nano is described by the ancient name of quercialsale, recorded on the historical maps of the borgo of Monticchiello in the Val dOrcia. The plans of Leonardo for the battle of Anghiari revive in ones mind the strength and energy of this wine which is made solely from the Sangiovese grape. It is full of character and intensity, filling the palate with suggestions of fruit and vanilla. This is a wine that will age well.
