How to reach Terre di Nano

From Rome (Ciampino or Fiumicino airports)
Take the GRA (Grande Raccordo Annulare) in the direction of Firenze. Take the A1
motorway to Firenze. After driving for about 1h30 exit at Chiusi-Chianciano T and
follow the directions for Chianciano Terme and Montepulciano (SS 146). Keep going
on this road, passing through Chianciano and then a village called Sant' Albino, until
you reach a T-junction just before Montepulciano. This is called "bivio di San Biagio"
and is approximately 20 km from the A1.
Turn left at the T-junction, to Pienza. Please note a Tamoil petrol station and turn
left after 50 meters taking a small uphill road which borders the San Biagio hotel (on
your right). On your left, at the beginning of the small road, you will see the sign
"Terre di Nano". Drive for about 3.9 km keeping to the right when you come to a Yjunction. After 3.9 km, on the top of the hill and after having driven a few hundreds
metres along a gravel road, you will see a sign for Terre di Nano on your right. Turn
right and drive to the end of the road lined with cypress trees.

From Florence
Take the A1 motorway, direction of Roma and exit at Bettolle / Sinalunga /
Valdichiana. Follow the sign for Torrita di Siena.
Take the SS 327 and drive through the center of Torrita di Siena, then drive in the
direction of Montepulciano (SP135). You will come to a roundabout at which you
take the first right to Montepulciano.
After approximately 7 km, you will come at a T-junction, turn right to Montepulciano
and drive about 500m to a square in Montepulciano; at the roundabout turn left
driving towards Pienza; follow this road, which goes around the hill of
Montepulciano, until you come to a junction, the so called "bivio di San Biagio". On
your right there is a cypress tree lined road leading to the temple of San Biagio, on
your left a road leading to Chianciano. You drive straight, the road going to Pienza.
Note a Tamoil petrol station immediately on your left, turn left after 50 meters
taking a small uphill road which borders the San Biagio hotel (on your right). On your
left, at the beginning of the small road, you will see the sign "Terre di Nano". Drive
for about 3.9 km keeping the right when you come to a Y-junction. After 3.9 km, on
the top of the hill, and having driven a few hundreds metres along a gravel road, you
will see a sign for Terre di Nano on your right. Turn right and drive to the end of the
road lined with cypress trees. Welcome to Terre di Nano !
From Pisa airport
Take the motorway A11/E76, leading to Firenze; then the motorway A1/E35 to
Roma and exit at Bettolle / Sinalunga / Valdichiana. Follow the sign for Torrita di
Siena.
Take the SS 327 and drive through the center of Torrita di Siena, then go in the
direction of Montepulciano (SP135). You will arrive at a roundabout, take the first

From Siena
Follow directions to AREZZO-PERUGIA, after about 40 kilometres take the 2
nd
exit, to
SINALUNGA. At the roundabout follow the directions to MONTEPULCIANO-TORRITA
DI SIENA. One in Torrita di Siena you are at 15 kilometres from Montepulciano, just
follow signs to it (no to Montepulciano Stazione). Once in Montepulciano turn left
at the roundabout towards Pienza; follow this road, which goes around the hill of
Montepulciano, until you come to a junction, the so called "bivio di San Biagio". On
your right there is a road lined with cypress trees which leads to the temple of San
Biagio, on your left a road to Chianciano. You drive straight, in the direction of
Pienza.
